In Morevna Project we also had much problems with gradients when used Krita.
Example:
Gradient from #353e66 to #2d
In Krita it gives non-uniform (non-smooth) gradient.

Just some additional info:
The file was created in Krita 4.1.7 on Linux. Then edited in Krita (probably
4.1.7) on Windows. After that it faile to open on Linux with dev version
