Managed to work around this issue by turning off options for Hi-DPI under
"Configure Krita/General/Window"

When you color pick with Ctrl+LeftMouse while in the Freehand Path Tool then
that click will affects your line when you start drawing. It creates an
unwanted straight line from where you color picked (You can see what I mean in
the attachment image).
