It seems I can't just remove and re-install libkgapi, because kio-gdrive and
kmailtransport depend on the library. I got a fail message in the terminal from
pacman, and in Pamac, removing libkgapi

Yes, the workflow you described is what I did. After I entered my Google
account credentials and accepted the permissions, the error message came up
after about 30 seconds.

I just replicated the problem with a different program, so it could really be
KAccounts.
Specifically, I got the same "Invalid response content type" error when I tried
