Yes, why do what a good portion of users want?! Why not follow Jakobs' Law,
which does not even apply here?! People who use linux, who use Dolphin, do not

I'm seriously considering switching to a different file manager because of this
new so-called feature.
So far the best thing I found is pcmanfm-qt. Mainly because it also has a
permanent filter toolbar, which is rare
