I thought it might help if I send you my ~/.config/** and ~/.local/** okular
stuff:

And below the pull down with 'In Current File' there are three more hidden
icons exposed from hovering, for:
"Match Case",
"Use Regular Expressions", and
"Expand Results"

In addition to the above hidden icon, I just noticed a 2nd hidden button to the
right of the first, for 'Switch to power search and replace bar'.
