Thanks for the explaination.
To me it seemed strange that Kwin does NOT crash, if I choose "Maximize" by
right clicking on the process' icon in the task bar, nor does it crash if I
choose Maximize from the Window menu (i

Ok, how do I get hold of the requested backtrace? - I never get a crash dialog
(or at least I don't see it, and can't change windows after the crash).
