I'm realizing we would lose the Alt+Key combos for the angle mode selector if
we switched to a combo box. How big of a priority is maintaining these
shortcuts?

I would like to work on this issue. Personally, I think the cleanest approach
is to use a combo box for both angle mode selection and numeral mode selection.
