Kde 3.5.3 on Fedora 13 Can anyone explain why the minute/hour hands on any analog clock I try, no matter what theme, inevitably get corrupted. Mostly the hour hand, never the second hand. KSnapshot and KGrab are pretty much guaranteed to do it, but other things do too though I don't see a patt

[kde] Konqueror/Dolphin file managers very unstable

2010-12-07 Thread Jerome Yuzyk
I've always liked Konqueror's file manager, but it's been completely unstable ever since I moved to KDE4. Many operations seem to hang doing nothing and then suddenly wake up. Crashes are routine. I switched to Dolphin, thinking Konq had been abandoned, but it's not a lot better. File previews

[kde] order of icons in System Tray

What determines the order of icons in the System Tray? It's not alphabetical, nor by loading order. I usually get: KMail | TV Remote | KAlarm Amarok | Kopete| Volume All but TV Remote are KDE things. TV Remote is a Perl/Tk thing I wrote. I'm curious. In KDE 3.5.10 i was able to contro

The "clear this field" icon that appears on many fields in KDE apps and things browsed with Konqueror is really handy for mouse-based navigation. However, not all fields get this option - most notably the Google entry field (on www.google.*) doesn't get one, whereas fields on the CPAN site do.
