[JAVA3D] texture mapping

2004-01-12 Thread Gregory Gimler
Hello, I have a question concerning java 3d 1.2.1 VS java 3d 1.3. I have not been able to upgrade to 1.3 until just recently. The problem I had was the sphere I was texture mapping with just a jpeg image would show up fine in 1.2.1 and would show up white in 1.3. The code fix was the following:

It sounds like it is a graphics-card-specific problem here. I use a Radeon 7500 LE and I get the 3D-acceleration working only with XFree86 4.2.0, all newer versions cause problems. And with J3D 1.3.1 I have problems with this configuration too. On Mon, 12 Jan 2004 13:40:31 -0300, Alessandro Borges

I tried this. The new SGI java3d seems unable to read my model. The previous version was able to. Is there anyone out there that is using the SGI java3d? Are there any known problems/workarounds? SGI will not support it via telephone - they told me to go to the user groups (GOOGLE). - Orig
