Yeah, I had tried to go through the code myself, and couldn't find how
what I observed could have happened.
Thank you for the in-depth answer and your time, I appreciate it. If I
can find a way to reproduce the behaviour, I'll get back to you. Right

I just had a fun time over the last few days with copying email from a
dovecot based mail store to cyrus.
It seems that some of the multi-line X-Spam* headers were corrupted and
would not copy over using imapsync.
I was able to get it to work by adding : --regexmess
's{^X-Spam-Bar(.|\n)*X-Spa
Thanks for tracking that down. It's now on the cyrus-imapd-2.5 branch,
and will be in the next release.
