Hi,
is it possible to filter a mail's body with sieve? I'm already using sieve to
filter subject, from etc.
KMail seems not to support filtering on incoming IMAP Folders.
Cheers,

Hello,
I'm having trouble to authenticate with sivtest... Imap/pop are OK, they
use sasl (mech: ldap).
I use cyrus-sasl 2.1.18 and cyrus-imap 2.2.3 on a debian woody.
Can anybody help ? I'm really confused, everything works fine, except
sieve...
Here is the output :
pc-schmitz-vm:~# /appli/cyr

Thanks a lot, but it works now...
It seems to be a problem of rights for /var/spool/mail...

I use Cyrus Imapd v2.2.3 + Cyrus SASL 2.1.18 + Berkeley 4.1.25 + OpenSSL

And which MTA do you use?
If its Sendmail, then add to sendmail.mc

It's a small system, i'm the only user, mail gets delivered via SMTP to

Thank you for your quick answer.
I've tried to add --with-plugindir=/appli/cyrus-sasl/lib/sasl2 to my .configure,
but the problem is the same... I have also tried to recompile cyrus-imap, with
no result.
I think sasl works ok because I can do :

Thank you very much for your suggestion - I've experimented with the
"autocreate" patch... I want to automatically create arbitrary folders
"on post" - when they are delivered to.
I think, however, that this patch will only create INBOXs - not
arbitrary folders as I desire.

Hello,
i have a lot of log files in my Cyrus V2.1.3 db directory --> every day 2 log files
with approx. 1Mb.
It takes about 2h 30 min after i restarted the Cyrus to work properly, because after
the restart heÂs doing a database recovery! The only workaround i found, was to
delete all files

Nevermind, i managed to fix it, there were some corrupted files in
/var/lib/imap/db, i removed them, and also deliver.db, everything got
recreated, and now it's working.

Hi Felix,
I have not found the solution. Well not an easy automated solution anyway.
It would be nice if there was an extra reconstruct flag to create the
mailbox if it does not exist, but perhaps this functionality is beyond the
spec of reconstruct - or maybe it's silly to think that someone wou
I have this very same problem. It began after I had some minor DB corruption

I suspect deleting /var/imap/db/* and dumping the mailboxes.db to a text
file and re-importing it with ctl_mboxlist mig

KMail seems not to support filtering on incoming IMAP Folders.
There is a draft of a "body" extension to sieve, but Cyrus does not
currently have it implemented.

Hi,
I'm not sure if there is still work being done on 2.1.x or if this may be
fixed in 2.2.x, but 2.1.16 still has issues with THREAD support. I know
that this was supposed to have been fixed by an earlier update, but:
