Just a simple replace of the new seen file by an old one allowed me to
restore the seen flag on thousand mails.

What means "old"? What has changed?
Each Mailbox has a unique number which is in the seen-File and each Message
has a unique nu
iginal cyrus.header and/or cyrus.index files.
