I keep seeing this message in my logs:
Could not find a dlname line in .la file: libsasl2.la
Running FreeBSD 7.2, perl 5-10 and cyrus-sasl 2.1.23, cyrus-imap 2.3.12.
I see the file in /usr/local/lib and here are its content:

Could somebody give some lite on this ? I have search archives but no

I'd suggest having a look at config.log to see why configure isn't
finding libsasl2 . Also make sure you do have cyrus-sasl-devel installed
if you're using your distros's sasl.

As both are in the FreeBSD ports system I'd strongly advise you to use
the ports and install from there.
