2.0.12 is a positively ancient version of cyrus. You need to be using
2.0.17 at a minimum, and preferably 2.1.12.

I am using Berkeley DB - 4.0.14 (as it was recommended for Cyrus-imapd -
2.0.12)
The compilation and installation of cyrus-sasl and berkeley works without
problems, but whenever I try to compile (make all CFLAGS=-O) cyrus-imapd,
I've got the following problem:
cannot find libdb3.so.

I think I have the build process down... Can anyone warn me about what
I might have to do if I go from 2.1.3 built against db3 (3.1.17) to 2.1.4
built against db4 (4.0.14)? mailboxes is skiplist, everything else is
'normal'.
A clean install and a recover of the mailboxes is do-able, but not
