I assured that libraries were all in-sync by running 'portupgrade' under
FreeBSD. (Thanks Oliver for the idea.)
I cannot yet create a mailbox. Here is what I get when I try:
[mail2] ~> whoami
cyrus
[mail2] ~> cyradm -u cyrus localhost
Password:
localhost.familyradio.org> lm
localhost

This is only true for POP3. You don't need an INBOX in order to
authenticate to an IMAP server.
. Initialy login with the user 'cyrus' (which should be in
the "admins:" line in your imapd.

Have you created a mailbox for that user? You cant login unless the user
has a inbox.. Initialy login with the user 'cyrus' (which should be in
the "admins:" line in your imapd.conf).. This account will need a
password, so do whatever it takes in your setup to create a 'real' cyrus
account.
