OK, I got a reply back from the guy using a Blackberry (heh, from his
Blackberry, no less). He said that he just set the POP settings
appropriately and things worked like they should.

I've got a guy here using a Blackberry. I'll ask him if he did anything
special to get it working. We allow non-encrypted connections
(POP/IMAP/SMTP) internally, but require SSL and auth for external
connections. I didn't have to do anything special on the server to
support him.
