Ok I added the following line in my /etc/pam.d/pop:
auth required pam_warn.so
And here is the log when I tried to connect using pop:

So PAM seems to work correctly but why do I still get an

My /etc/pam.d/imap and pop files look like this:
#%PAM-1.0
auth required /lib/security/pam_stack.so service=system-auth
accountrequired /lib/security/pam_stack.so service=system-auth
So does anybody have any ideas???

You've read through the cyrus faq?
Also, you've set sasl_pwcheck: pam in imapd.conf ? (try also setting it in
/usr/lib/sasl/Cyrus.conf)
