actually does. If I interpret this correctly, it gets called in
pushmsg() in lmtpengine.c and the comment says that there is a carriage
return that should be put back, which apparently doesn't work.
Any hints ?

ed the cyrus binaries from 2.4.12 to 3.0.2.
The cyrus daemons run, imap authentication works, logs look fine.
But then, no folder...users authenticate but there is no folder.
Using cyradm on the original 2.4.12 host, "lm" shows every folder.

cted the output to a file and opened it with vim, which shows a ^M
before end of the line, which is a carriage return if I'm not mistaken. So I
guess there is a involved.
The mail as such looks perfectly fine. Is this a feature or should I open a bug
report ?
