The last few responses have been very helpful. I should be able to solve this
now and will post again after some "playing around" with it.

I do have it uncommented in the EVENTS section already however I noticed it had
the options '-as' so I removed the 'a' option. I'll watch it for a while and
let you know if that fixed it.

I don't actually use sieve so I could just disable it but it would be nice to

Hello,
Okay, I am sure this is stupid question but how do you really delete messages.
When I delete messages in my email client and then log in to see the mailbox
through a web program I see that the message are marked as deleted but still

Hello,
Is there a way to have the "tls_..." options in the imap.conf file work for
multiple domains so that as many virtual domains as you want can authenticate
without the client software popping up warnings like "certificate does not

assumption this will be fine) with the names of any global admins. but I
thought you might like to know this in case it's not by design.

Hello Cyrus,
Is there any inheritance, or are there limits on child mailboxes based on
quotas up the parent chain?
Also, what is the difference between GetQuotaRoot and GetQuota? I read the RFC
but I didn't really pick up a clear distinction.

Hello,
If I do a SETQUOTA and GETQUOTA should I be using bytes or kilobytes? Sorry,
this is probably obvious to most people but I am rather new at it.

I'm getting a little desperate here so I'm hoping someone can answer these two

That was it. Now it sends, receive and so on, just as it should.

I seem to have one nagging problem in getting my Cyrus to work in that it won't
talk with Postfix.
They are on the same computer and are connected through LMTP. I use MySQL for
authentication,
directly through Postfix and via SASL for Cyrus. I can connect to Cyrus through

the problem seem to have gone away. Now I'll setup the Virtual domains
