Are the packages available by any chance ?
Packages aren't available yet ... this will take time since the ton's of
patches, etc. If you need it quick built it yourself like I will be
doing soon ... or just ... wait :-)

I have a production machine with multiple domains on it.
what do you count as multiple domains ?
If you use sendmail be warned to use the mailertable feature to deliver
mails directly to the lmtp domain socket.
i'll be using postfix :-)
No problems at all at this point.
hi all,
is anybody using extensively cyrus 2.2a with virtual domain support ?
if so what are your experiences ?

Hi,
Since I need to move the users away from /etc/shadow and the only solution
besides the LDAP one suggested (which I'd rather not like to implement) and
do SQL-query-logging (which I also wouldn't like to do since it can't be
limited to a specifc database ... can it?) ... is there a way to log t
This may be a long shot, passwords in /etc/shadow (depending on your system),
may be unix crypt or md5 hashes. Perhaps you could setup ldap, and transplant
the password hashes into the userPassword attribute. I've never tried it
personally, but it may be worth a shot.
MD5 hashes are used if I'm
Hi all,
Is there a way to use passwords from /etc/shadow from another system - like
putting that file on the server and accessing it through PAM ?
The best solution would be to store all user account data in an SQL database,
since I'll be storing the new users there ... the problem with the old

Hi all,
Is there some kind of release plan for Cyrus 2.2a ?
Kind Regards,
Markus
No! A mailbox could never go over quota if such mails would be rejected!
If you send one email being 800% over quota cyrus will deliver the mail
and all next mails to the same mailbox now being over quota will be
handled appropriate to your imapd.conf settings!
So I'd have to block something lik
Hi all,
I have another problem. I'd like to use the email address as login. I'm
using the MySQL-PAM module to archive this. I did the following:
cyradm --cyrus localhost
cm user/[EMAIL PROTECTED]
in the mysql table i inserted the username and password ... authentification
works fine ... but I ca
Hi all,
I've set up Cyrus 2.1 with quota. Now when there is no
quota reached already Cyrus accepts the message no
mater what size (even if it's 800% overquota).
Is there a way to reject the mails in such a case ?
What about a customized quota bounce message ?
When are quota warnings send ? (Quot
I can only say 2 words to this :-)
THANK YOU :-)
Thanks for your help so far :-)
Another question: Any particular reason for making this tutorial specific to
RedHat (base software install). I will have to build cyrus, etc from source
anyways since it's not declared as stable in the versions you've mentioned on
Debian (at least not till now)

Has there be any specific reasons why you've decided to use postgresql ?

Hi,
Andrew Koros has created a nice howto. It's written for RedHat but that
shouldn't matter too much here:

Hi,
First of all I'd like to excuse my post for yesterday ... adressed that to the
wrong mailing list as I wrote the message in a hurry. Anyways Courier lacks for
quota support (without patching it) and I didn't find any valueable information
about it on the web. Anyways, Cyrus seems to be more
