Does anyone else have problems using the Mac OS X Mail
client with a Cyrus server?
At the stage when the client starts up and tries to enquire of the
server what authentication types are supported it just hangs,
for a very long time.

if you know Perl then go the Perl route.
I found it relatively easy to write a Perl program which
calls t
erver does not permit /authuser
access.
So, I cannot authenticate as the administrative user to transfer mail to the Cyrus
system.
I've written a Perl script which sets the user passwords to a default, know value on
both servers in orfder to do this transfer.
How do other people handle this situation please? Any tips are welcome!

Stuart Clark's last post mentioned Stalker Software.
We are currently evaluating new mail servers, especially the Cyrus-based SuSE Email
server.
Can I ask what the opinions are on Communigate Pro from Stalker?
