Well after a number of tests, it seems that without IDLE, Blackberries are
"smart" and disconnect. iPhones and mail clients (Outlook, Thunderbird) remain
connected. This is consistent with what they are doing now so they will have
to live with it. Unsure what the real reason behind IDLE-less
