Cyrus' doc for this particular setting is not as clear as it could be.
I think "unixhierarchysep: yes" is meant for situations when you want
to use a "." in the username part.
For example:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
It is _not_ meant to replace the "." after "user", at least that's ho
Hello,
I'm trying to do 2 things:
1. Migrate from qmail/Courier to Cyrus
2. Figure out where Cyrus stores my mail
For 1. I found that qmail stores my mail in a Maildir format (one file
per email).
For 2. I see directories/files like
/var/lib/imap/user/o/otis.(seen,sub), but I'm not sure if

This setting is to replace "." for "/" right?
So when I do cm I would do something like
cm user/[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Do I need the "user/"?
In particular I get invalid mailbox name when I try

Hi there,
just another info I forgot in my posting from May 17th:
short: login via telnet works fine, login via SSL hangs after login
command sent, if and only if, the correct password is supplied. imapd is
capable of cleanly denying access, if the wrong password is supplied:

Is there any expected release date for Cyrus 2.3 ?
It seems to add interesting features, and I was
thus wondering when it will hit our servers :)
I would be interested to give it a try, but was
wondering if it is still early alpha, or if it
is usable for real life testing.
Thanks,

I am wondering if ctl_mboxlist supports tls?
If not, is it because of a technical reason or 'lack of time to add
feature' reason?
We have plain text logins disabled on the murder master.
mupdatest works fine

Hello,
I am looking for a way to autocreate a mailbox when the authentification
is correct.
I know about the autocreate patch, but I would prefer a way without
patch (security-updates etc). Does somebody know why this patch isn't
included in Cyrus? http://email.uoa.gr/projects/cyrus/autocreate/

I had many corruption problems with fedora , turns out there seems to be
a bug in mmap. RHEL 4 might have the same mmap bug.
can you check your logs and see if you find any IOERROR stating that the
mailbox file couldn't be mapped ?
