Yes, I've switched my config to "virtdomains: userid" from "virtdomains: yes", as the latter didn't let me "createmailbox [EMAIL PROTECTED]" from cyradm. With "userid" variation, this works. So is that all that is needed? So is this a complete overkill: http://www.phildev.net/cyrus/cyrus_sasl.h

Anyone on the list know how to configure IMAP to use mysql??? I've looked at a pam module but I couldn't build it with the provided instruction (what little there is) and there seems to be a lot of conjecture on how to do this. I've been able to get sasl working nicely with mysql (libsql.so) a

I haven't exactly been following this topic, so forgive me if this has already been mentioned, or if I'm missing the issue, but I have 'virtdomains: userid' (versus virtdomains: yes) in my imapd.conf, and it allows multiple domains on one IP. I have 4 or 5 domains (virtual setup) on our server,

You don't have to have multiple NIC's to have multiple IPs. Even Windoze allows you to assign multiple addresses is a single interface. You can configure Cyrus to support virtual domains with a single IP address, but your users will have to supply a username of the form "[EMAIL PROTECTED]". B
