Is it at all possible to merge two Cyrus Imap servers?
We have for some time been running two mostly similar Cyrus Imap
servers - the only difference is that one of them is authentication
getting the user data from ldap and the other from mysql.
We now want to merge the two servers.

Solved.
I've fallen for this gotcha before, so I'm kicking myself for doing it
again.
All that was wrong was that when I installed cyrus+sasl, I neglected to
install the debian package libsasl2-modules. I'm not 100% sure why this
fixed it, as I don't use PAM which is what this package seems to

I am authenticating users to a MySQL backend and currently I am using

using POP.
I can create different service names in cyrus.conf, however, this does
not allow the different service identifiers in PAM and the only oth

Hello,
No. Solaris 7 and 8, using UFS with noatime as an option at mount time.
The filesystems are volume slices of a RAID on a T3 attached via
a Fibre SAN.

Hello,
Well, then. I'm at a loss to understand the behavior we see.
Users can't connect to their account.
Go look and see the .NEW files. Hm.
Run a reconstruct and the .NEW files go away.
User problem fixed.
Perhaps you can offer me an alternative explanation for
the behavior and we can fix what

The .NEW files should be totally ignored by any running cyrus instance

Hello,
I've got a question about the behavior we see when we shut down the imap
server processes. When the master gets killed and the imap processes
start to go away the state of the index files in some of the user
accounts seems to become corrupted for some users. While a small

As new imapds are fork()ed, they'll get the new settings.

Hi Bartosz,
I have written a new method for SMS notification (or any other) to be
included in notifyd. Motivation was to make use of the SMS notification
provided in the SquirrelMail SIEVE plugin.
Basically, the method just forks a new process which launches an external
script. You can do whateve
