So does anyone in the group have any suggestions for completely disabling

I am in a similar situation to Andrew. The mailbox name is not to be
used as From: header since it is impossible to deliver to that address
(by policy). With the following script, the vacation message is sent
with a From: header being the To: of the received message, that is

Cyradm is a perl program, so perhaps your perl install is broken? Try
debugging the perl program to see exactly where it crashes. Alternately

Since you're on RedHat Linux, you may want to try my rpms from

Hello.
I've got some questions about cyrus.
1) I've created a mailbox with 'cm root' which shows up as INBOX now at the
top-level. How can I remove this? And I think the mailbox-name 'root' has a
special function?
2) I've setup authentication on OpenLDAP via SASL. The user-authentication

Hello list,
I have a few questions regarding a possibly common scenario, hopefully someone can
point out some trouble I might run into before I hit the wall.
We are in the progress of setting up a new Debian GNU/Linux based mailserver, SMTP
will be no trouble at all. I figured it would be best
Hello,
I'm trying to somehow 'disable' a mailbox, that is prevent mail from
being posted into it.
I tried changing the p flag, but if I understand things correctly, it is
on implicitly for inboxes, e.g. user.foo.
Is there some way to get around this and have a mailbox user.foo with no
post-acls,
Sorry to fill up the list with this, but I found the error. Turns out
/etc/rc.d/init.d/saslauthd was launching with the locket set to /var/run/saslauthd and
everything else was looking for it in /var/state/saslauthd/
Again, sorry for the extra traffic and thanks for the help,
