The Cyrus server runs as group defined in the configure procedure. The use
of a different kind of authentication doesn't affect this, so all the users
are assigned to the Cyrus' master process.
Of course, if I understood well how it works! :)

I noticed a problem with Cyrus re changes in the system date/time. If
the system time is suddenly advanced forward Cyrus will spawn many
children to handle the events it has "missed". This can result in
total starvation of resources (out of memory), especially if the time

Hi all,
As cyrus admin user i can login to imap and manage mailboxes, ACLs & stuff.
Can i do the same for sieve and timsieved? During a migration from our old
setup to new i would also like to migrate our legacy forwarding & stuff to
sieve, but have yet to figure out how. I'm using fulldirhash so

I asked that question but still didn't get an answer:
I'm using 'saslauthd -a pam' for IMAP authentication (pam_pgsql actually) and
compiled cyrus-imapd22 --with-auth=unix
Should I still use /etc/groups for users group membership (to set access
mailbox permissions) or maybe there is a way to use

In practice, not many applications use libcyrus for reading email, the
closest we generally see is for small things like cyradm. So there hasn't
been pressure to fix it.

Yes, I've done that already

When libcyrus reads a server response, it does so in 4k (4067)
chunks. If I read a message which is greater than 4k, it is
be truncated, eg {96091} gives me a 96050 long reply->text, the
beginning of the reply looking like:
FETCH (FLAGS (\\Seen) INTERNALDATE \"24-Feb-2003 12:45:17 +\" BODY[]

what do you count as multiple domains ?
If you use sendmail be warned to use the mailertable feature to deliver
mails directly to the lmtp domain socket.
i'll be using postfix :-)
No problems at all at this point.

I am trying to set the internaldate for a message, but it doesn't store
properly.
This is what I try (using python)
imap.store(1,"+FLAGS","INTERNALDATE 22-Mar-2003 02:10:31 +0100")
