hi there,
i'm using freebsd 4.7 current and cyrus-imap-2, really work fine with me.
if you are migrating from cyrus version 1, there are slightly differ in terms of

Yeah, install it by hand. It takes literally about 5 minutes.
*shrug*...
You didn't post any log entries, or what you've got in imapd.conf (using
auxprop??? if you want sasldb2 you should be), or what your permissions on
sasldb2 file are...

I'm having trouble getting a working implementation of Cyrus IMAP on
FreeBSD 4.7 CURRENT. And yes, I am using the ports, it just doesn't seem
to work at all, rather annoying as I expected a "port" to just *work*.
I've an existing 1.6.24 Cyrus IMAP installation, which works like a charm,
however,
Frobbing with the lmtp code, I noticed this thread...

Here's the cleaned up patch, against 2.1 CVS. It could be enhanced not to
touch the +fooobar part of the recipient, I suppose.

Here is a quick and dirty patch for flushing the seen state whenever it
changes, relative to 2.1.11. I have tested it on my production system
and it seems fine, but use at your own risk. The quick and dirty part
is that the interface to index_check doesn't provide a way to pass the

Hmmm, with 2.2 out of CVS, uppercase username works just fine...

Christian, I really can't provide basic support for you on this problem.
But rest assured that we are doing everything you are trying to do without
any modifications to proto.m4.
I really think you are over-working the problem. Virtusertable can easily

We use an ldap directory with SSHA hashing on passwords stored in ldap
as the backend for our cyrus 2.1.X implementation. We are currently
trying to add a set of sieve scripts to EVERY user's account. Since we
cant actually access a user's password (since they're hashed in ldap) I
was hoping to

Well, as a workaround, use pipe delivery on postfix (and thus, use the
deliver Cyrus program, which is much slower than LMTP), and tell postfix to
lowercase the recipient.

I'm trying to get sendmail to work with Cyrus-Imap and UnixHierarchysep.
Right now when e-mails come in sendmail only seems to pass on the 'user'

for it.
Any suggestions on how to fix this? Anyone have a sample se
