Hi folks,
[Apologies for length of email]
I recently built IMAPD 2.0.9 + SASL 1.5.24 + Berkeley DB 3.11 from source on
NetBSD 1.5 release (i386). I use LMTP/TCP delivery with Exim 3.20, pwcheck for
auth and plaintext over SSL with Netscape 4.75 MUA. Overall, quite impressed!
Now for the problem

Hello there. I have built and installed Cyrus 1.6.22 on FreeBSD 4.2-RELEASE.
When I telnet, I get:
hobbit# telnet localhost imap
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.kcis.com.
Escape character is '^]'.

. OK
After building 2.0.9 on Solaris 2.7 cyradm produced this error

I've tried setting the following to set default acl's & quotas but it
doesn't seem to be working:
in /etc/imapd.conf --

Any assistance and/or pointers would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Why not use LDAP for authentication ? If one LDAP server is not enough (but
then
you will need MANY users), you can use replication to n servers. LDAP is an
open
standard, therefore you can start with a simple LDAP server like OpenLDAP at
the
beginning and replace it be a better one if you need

You may want to look at chapter 11 of the MySQL documentation on
replication.

It seems that Cyrus 2.0.9 (and probably earlier versions) will build under
Solaris 2.7 (and probably other versions) only if bison has been installed.
The prerequisites page mention flex but not bison - and even then only as a
recommendation.
If this is correct could a note be added to the docum
