I doubt if sending crash reports to Apple will achieve much for non
Apple supported software.

I had IDLE crashes on 10.6.8 until I made sure the ActiveTcl I had
installed is the exact same version as the one the Python website suggests,
available here:
http://downloads.activestate.com/ActiveTcl/releases/8.5.11.1/.
