Thanks,

it may mean something to somebody. :)
Thanks for any help or suggestions!

;--libs" and/or "--cflags" options, I get
information pointing to the 1.2 libraries and headers.
How do I get the config programs to return the 2.6 headers and
libraries?
Thanks,

So I figured I might as well use one of the Linux live CDs... I just
can't seem to find any info on exactly what software is contained on
various live CDs.
Thank you!

Anyway, I was just hoping to start a "pub"-style conversation on

all the window managers that have been written, either
from scratch or as hacks on FVWM, when FVWM has been able to do
pretty much everything for a long time.
Well, now I'm thinking I need to learn X11 programming, and hack on
FVWM or something... another project in my infinitely-long

Thanks!

Hopefully I'm missing something simple... any thoughts?
Thanks!

I'm guessing that most folks don't have to worry about the whole

Any more thoughts?
Thank you for all your help!

hough, in the future, I intend to build an amatuer
recording studio in my home, and I'd like to use Linux and OSS apps
as my multi-tracking software and drum machine. So I thought it
would be nice to learn jack now :)
Anyway, thank you very much for all you help! It is very much
appreciated.
