comment them and add
--no-check-certificate in there.
There are a couple packages that need --no-check-certificate. so I have
it used all the time.

If the systems are identical, you can use quickpkg to make packages from
your active system, configs and all, then use those packages to emerge
-K on the other systems.

I might be easier to just backup all your Data, configs and other Info,
and rebuild from scratch.
Next quickpkg it from one server to the others if the Rigs are
identical.

you use cp. It seems that you have ssh'd
into your other box then are trying to scp to yourself.
try this.
comp1# scp root@:/path/to/file.tar /path/to/local/
this will cp from to :)
