I have upgraded my gentoo recently.
New version of gcc-4.4.3-r2 has been emerged.
Now I have 2 versions of gcc:
gcc-4.3.4
gcc-4.4.3-r2
There are still many packages compiled with the old version of gcc and
now I don't want to rebuild them all with a new version.
emerge --depclean wants to uneme

Yes it's save to unmerge your old gcc.
You could also - using quickpkg - create a binary package of your old
gcc before unmerging (for backup puropses).

I installed the gpt table partionning on my system, which allow me to have
more as 4 partitions . It works
fine to boot from every partition from a standard kernel
Of course, I enabled the gpt support on the gentoo .

The guide seems to be wrong here. Rebuilding does not harm, and it makes
use of tall the cool

That post is 2 years old. IMHO something that's not been stabalized in that long of a period of time
is worth waiting for unless you full on ~arch already.
That said, I use Calculate linux which is mostly stable but has OpenRC by default and I don't have
any issues.
