An other method given by a friend, and more easier:
compile again a package in english, and it will become in french.

I did it, but it opens gedit in english.
The idea came to search where the config file of gedit is
on my desktop computer.
I made a locate gedit and I found within other files
/usr/share/locale/fr/LC_MESSAGES/gedit.mo
I saw that gedit.mo is a binary file.
