c and from time to time a backup on an external hdd drive using
again rsync. If you tar it up, you can't store the differences only
anymore, so you have to decide first what you want.
Oh and if you're using a ram-dvd you can access the dvd as if it were
a flash medium and just rsync/tar/... to it :-)

Why don't you desire that? What's the purpose of an IDE if you don't
want an integrated debugger? In Emacs run gdb and then
gdb-many-windows (then debugging looks the same as in all these IDEs

Nobody here using the genkernel package to build his kernel? I'm using
it all the time, makes initramfs creation so much easier :-)
is case? This blocking bug was some
time before the new Portage went stable and back then you had to
resolve it by hand.
So if you're unlucky you have to resolve it by hand, but there's an
explanation in bugzilla.

Hi,
a generic way is:
1) Go to /usr/src/linux
2) grep tg3 $(find -name Makefile)
of course you can replace tg3 with every other module name (but don't
add the .ko extension!)

Preventing flash does not prevent anybody of watching flash movies,
because you can download the flash movies using one of the many flash
downloader websites and then just play it with mplayer (for example).

c/libc.html
Description: GNU libc6 (also called glibc2) C library
As you can see 2.6.1 is installed and python is using this version of glibc.
That's why I'm wondering if it's not libc_ver which is buggy.

Hi,
did you try "setkbmap" in a terminal to select manually your keyboard
layout, model and variant? I had some problems with my keyboard
layout, too some time ago and for me switching to the most recent
xorg-server package solved the issue.

ature?) it is much more
work than checking in xdm is slim is still up and if not restarting it
(since xdm is slim's parent process it gets even informed about it, so
no polling would be necessary!).

Hi,
why still using RCS for version control when there's git? :-)
