How often do you reboot? If you don't measure uptimes by the seasons,
setting WIPE_TMP="yes" in/etc/conf.d/
This can be done easily as shown:
*find /tmp/ -mtime +1 -exec rm {} \;
Change +1 to the number of days old you want the files to be before deletion
