you should look at your vhost configs. take an example of the current
default_vhost config and make sure to keep the -D DEFAULT_VHOST

Ive had the same problem with one of my servers and after using the default

Somewhere in the update to 2.2.4-r12, listening got lost. I tried to follow

Here's what happens (minus a MaxClients warning that doesn't look like a
show-stopper):

I've hooked my digital cable DVR to my PC via an A-to-A USB cord, and
I'm wondering if I can copy programs recorded on the DVR to the PC. In

I agree, I think the reason most don't want to go that route, is because
they have to read the instructions. I do think however, that if they offer
it as a way to do the install, it should work. I've had trouble with the
graphical installer ever since it came to be. I wonder why it has so many

Isn't easier and more productive to simply start a normal install
instead of using the Installer? I admire the work of the devs, but I
simply couldn't use it with some machines, I try it, if it fails, I go
with the normal install and THIS one never fails...

I tried the 2007.0 amd64 LiveCD with no success. I tried the graphical
installer and whenever it got the unpack stage from LiveCD part, it hanged
for ever, did not freeze my machina though. So i tried the non graphical
installer which always died after formating the disk partitions. I posted

It should not build anything not related to your video card. Make sure
the variables are set correctly. Then, run emerge --info and see if that
setting has taken effect. If it has not then run #source /etc/make.conf.
then check emerge --info and see if sis is the value set for
VIDEO_CARDS.

I have a small LAN with three PCs. One PC runs exim, but the other two
use ssmtp. On the two that don't use exim I frequently see errors
similar to the following when portage tries to send mail:

Hello,
Hopefully, gmane.linux.gentoo.use will stay up long enough
to resolve this issue.
ON a i586 firewall machine I'm installing. I getting some
trouble with initialization of the ethernet port. For now,
I'm just setting up one ethernet interface and running
a gentoo sources 2.6.22-r5 kernel.
