A friend deleted a windoze .ppt document on his USB CF. Is there a linux
utility or command that can recover this file? He has already used
FreeUndelete (WinXP program), but all the files he recovered were empty.

I found broken sys-apps/portage-2.1.2_pre3-r6 (at least on ~amd64). After
an upgrade to this version the portage system went crazy. First of all, it
barked that it can't see gcc. Second, it said plenty of ebuild files are
broken. Third - it couldn't --sync again.
