NEEDED.
I ended up with writing an own package manager that did exactly what i
wanted. (it can install packages from ftp, http, rsync, ssh + local
mounted media - and it "feels" alot like freebsd's pkg_add)

Personally there are a few packages I could maintain, but I don't think
its worth becomming a developer to just maintain 1 single package.
I think this how the do with the freebsd ports tree. I am maintainer for
1 single freebsd port without being a committer.
