As Zorry noted in #Gentoo-hardened, we do not support anything less then
GCC-8 for musl right now so no need to add the stable ssp/pie blocks.
diff --git
Please review the proposed changes for musl support. We would like to
get this landed on the tree ASAP so we can drop the eclass from the musl
overlay. This is one of the first steps to getting things moved to tree
so we can depreciate the overlay.
Thanks,

This is a mess, many systems are setup with portage already on a
seperate partition for reasons. What advantage does it provide to move
the tree now after all these years? I have seen nothing more then lets
do this cause I like the ideal lately and it is getting old, there is no
benefit that would justify moving the tree or many other changes that
are being made in Gentoo lately.

amd64 is never documented, it is defined by arch being built for,
mudflap is used by gcc, sysfs I believe is a dead useflag. Maybe someone
else can comment on it.
