Please don't add local flags to use.local.desc anymore. They are now
maintained in metadata.xml file.

Yes, but I haven't found time and desire to triage the bugs as I
intended to. The news item is in the archives of -dev. Some of my
todo items like a newer stable eselect are done.

You sell the publishing rights for a period of time.

Microsoft Windows is standard software, tooyou want to use it? And
if an ebuild uses EAPI 3 it will fail badly, while it isn't too old. A
sane assumption is that EAPI 3 will at least contain all features from
EAPI 2 with very few adjustments to existing syntax and behaviou

The sense of this I don't understand. You should not restrict EAPI
like this.

to handle such things, after all, why shouldn't we let them?
They do it, because they don't know what they are doing. Just seen it
somewhere, heard about it. During LinuxTag the question why ** unmasks
some live ebuilds occured at least three times.

Many users use "**" in their p.keywords file and get a live ebuild
then.

see arch teams skip those stabilisations in a
daily rhythm. Honestly, who should do that work? Having every minor
release stable is a big nuisance for arch workers.

such a major release and trying to get the stable tree on par is what
eats a lot of time for us architecture developers...you can ease that
by researching beforehand (with a stable chroot for example).

Python has to do the same for 2.x and 3 versions...wouldn't it be nice
to have the same solution for both languages?
