Hi, Similarly to the old distutils.eclass, python.eclass is now on its way towards removal. Besides the packages using distutils.eclass (and therefore python.eclass indirectly), the remaining 5 packages are either awaiting stabilization or last rited for removal. Those are tracked via bug #609750
