Compiling both r11 and r10 with genkernel, in order to have an initrd, they bomb on boot. They both work with the initrd from r9. [ot] At least I recovered from the latest binutils gotcha where the links in /usr/bin were not updated by portage this morning by doing: binutils-config x8
