Small update: no CHOST/CBUILD stuff has to be set on the command line. It is
enough to set EPREFIX only, the rest is done from the
profiles.

I have one big problem left, where I need some help thinking about it: inside
the windows prefix I can only emerge some special
stuff (so no coreutils or such things), so I really have a dependency to the
interix prefix
Fabian,
it just came to my head, that since you're using interix, you have to deal with
some problems, I have solved for our company
already. I though you may be interested in the bash profile I attached. Create
a .profile.user for your user supplied stuff (for
example set EPREFIX there, otherwi

Hi,
While 'ia64-hpux' is a multilib platform, and the compilers (HP-cc, gcc)
support this, their default output still is 32bit.
This is the reason why currently the 'ia64-hpux' keyword in prefix
stands for 32bit, but IMO this is just wrong.
What I could think of is something like this:
1) For "

So, you're already using `emerge`. That means, I can apply the patch we
found earlier, and hope it doesn't break
bash needs it during boot strap.
So I added
emerge --oneshot =sys-devel/m4-1.4.10-r3
just before the merging of bash.

Fabian,
what about the openssh 5.0 mask? Could you check that again, please? It even
compiles on interix ;) so shouldn't be too much of a
problem. Also I get the impression that it's not much different from v4.7,

Hi
I just fixed the openssh server for interix (yeehaa), and for the purpose of
starting this whole thing without worrying about keys
and such, I would have really liked to use the init.d script to fire it up. The
init script still would require some
eprefixification, but the bigger problem is,
Currently we "inherit" many *-linux keywords from the main tree. The
~mips-linux keyword is one of them. However, since nobody on the team
has such machine, and I also don't know of any active users of a Prefix
on such machine, we decided to drop the keyword. If you're using it,
speak up now bef
