I agree with Bertrand that droids.apache.org would be the domain for the
Droids podling, if it were to go TLP.
Also, the platform is called Android, whereas Droid(R) is a registered
trademark of Lucas, and licensed to Verizon for branding Verizon's
Android-based phones.
Projects could go to Labs

just started with my first Android app a few days ago to get a feeling
what it is like to develop mobile apps. It would be very nice to have an
Apache interest group and see what others do and which projects may
arise.
