Hi- A few notes on the release package. Structure and contents look fine, but I’ve included some suggestions on some of the supporting things Git tag not signed. I dont think this is a hard requirement but is good practice $ git tag -v v0.3.0-incubating-rc1 error: v0.3.0-incubating-rc1: cannot
Re: [VOTE] Release Apache Traffic Control (incubating) 2.1.0-RC2
Hi Justin- Thanks for the suggestion to reach out to the author for relicensing. He has moved the project under the MIT license. We’ll be updating our LICENSE file and starting a new release vote. —Eric > On Dec 12, 2017, at 8:32 PM, Eric Friedrich (efriedri) > wrote: > > I’

I’ll talk with the rest of the Traffic Control PPMC tomorrow about getting in touch with the author. For now, I’ve also opened a legal discuss question for their opinion: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-356 —Eric On Dec 12, 2017, at 7:28 PM, Justin Mclean mailto:jus...@classsoftwa

Podling BugTracking
Hi Incubator- Are there any restrictions on the tooling a podling uses to track bugs? The Traffic Control Podling has recently moved to the Github as master. Prior to using Github as master we were using Jira, but the podling widely favors Github Issues for a variety of reasons. Is there any po

Hi, I checked the following: - Filename of "apache-griffin-0.1.4-incubating" would be preferred - GPG signature validates - MD5 and SHA1 signatures validate but it would be nice to release in a format that allows the tools to check automatically with "-c" option (see manpage) - Many .sh files n

Looking for GPG key signers in Boston area
Apologies for this slightly unorthodox use of the mailer. I’m in the process of preparing a release for the Traffic Control podling. As the RM, I have to use my GPG key to sign the release. However, my GPG key is not yet tied into the web of trust and we cannot pass the vote because of this.

Traffic Control Podling Bundled Dependencies
Hi All- The Traffic Control podling would like to use some third party open source code to help us manage some databases in our project (https://bitbucket.org/liamstask/goose/). This tool and its dependencies all fall into the Category A bucket (AL, MIT, BSD) Unfortunately, this tool appears
Release License Audit
Many of the release guidelines mention a license audit of the released source files. Are there any particular requirements as to how this audit is performed? Can the audit be done manually? I've seen references to using the Apache RAT tool. Is this use required or just suggestion? How do other
