John,
As you mentioned, we (hivemall) did not get "Reporting reminder emails".
Hivemall entered Incubation on Sept 13.
I refer this file for monthly reports duty.
http://incubator.apache.org/report-groups.txt
Should Hivemall (and Spot) be nominated for monthly report
for the first three months
The monthly attributes were not set correctly for new podlings 'Hivemall'
and 'Spot" which caused them to not be included in this month's report. I
figure its ok, and simply pushed them back by a month.

Hi Guys,
The PPMC vote for the Apache Pirk 0.2.0-incubating release has passed. We
kindly request that the IMPC now vote on the release..
The PPMC vote thread is located here:

Hi John,
Thanks for pointing out these issues.
For the README issue, I have filed a ticket at
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PIO-39.
For the installation instructions, those are intended for pre-ASF releases.
We do not yet have any ASF releases so we can't tell people where to
download on
Your website tells people to checkout your master branch to build from
source. This is a big no-no from an ASF standpoint. Snapshot builds
should only be for developer use.
CAn you double check your README files, missing headers.

I’ll second the ping and since I’m much less polite than Donald I’d like to add
that there are PRs and branches to be merged from a number of people that want
to contribute. A release would be a shot in the arm to our growing community.
Lots of good work is waiting on the vote.

Dear IPMC,
This is a friendly reminder that the vote is closing in 24 hours. Would
highly appreciate any feedback to this release candidate.

Hi David,
Typically, if you want to have to separately-released software packages
under Metron, you would either have separate repositories or separate
Maven builds (in the same repository). It seems strange to me that
you're essentially "releasing" the MPack (with a SNAPSHOT version?) with

Hi Casey,
I noticed two things in my casual glance:
1) META-INF/NOTICE says "Curator Service Discovery", not "Apache Metron"
(and META-INF/NOTICE.txt is for commons-cli)
2) I see that commons-math3 is included, and I am nearly 100% positive
that there ware are NOTICE entries that need to be pr
Thanks, Stian - I'll fix this squeasel notification issue in LICENSE.
I'll talk to the Impala community about whether this is "important
enough" or "just an innocent embedded dependency".

Hey Josh,
Thanks for looking so carefully again. Regarding the metron-common jar,
could you be more specific how it's not correct? We placed a licenses
file[1] in the META-INF directory for all of the jars which bundle
components that have blurbs mentioning the permissive licenses. Is there

Hi Josh,
Thanks for taking a peek at the release. On the MPack- we'd like to version
it separately from the Metron release. Does that create any issue (other
than unintended confusion :) ) ?
Thanks again!

My 2 cents:
There is no solution to the extra traffic on this list. Access to
confluence or an extra list would still need to be granted to avoid spam,
and people who don't know where to ask are going to ask on the incubator
list no matter what you do. Making the process more complex or less

As NetBeans has now entered incubation, those things will be discussed

Yup, we need to include it in the transition in some way and will need to
list in the Wiki once we have set that up.

Hi,
One of the main feature I value in the Netbeans infrastructure is the
automated exception reporter. I've reported thousands of bug reports to date
(many of which were fixed) and I don't think I would have had the energy to
do so without this feature.
I didn't think to bring this up before the
