I think it'd be cool. I have been wanting to find the time (yeah, right)
to do some Android programming...I'd love to replace their contact
manager with a better one...

Two areas of emphasis that I'd think useful:
1) NDK-based: or APR, httpd, and other appropriate *-c projects, for
unblocked devices and other Android-based platforms.
Ensure BIONC C comapatility, address Binder/AIDL/JNI lib issues, so each

Sounds interesting. We did quite some stuff with OSGi on Android
(felix does support running on android). What would be the focus (if
any)?

I've got Masa (Maven Plugins for Android) here:
http://code.google.com/p/masa/ which has a pretty solid code-base, if anyone
is interested.

If there is no existing codebase, I would recommend to start as a lab.
Once a prototype would be around, going to incubator or looking for
TLP status would not be so challenging...
Do you have a specific focus area or code base?

Would there be interest in a project to develop Android-based apps?
know that it sounds like an umbrella, and perhaps it would be until we
developed some critical mass, but it would provide us with a place to
collaborate.

Seems to work fine, although you should perhaps make super-clear in the next
version's README that you require JDK 1.6 (I was on 1.5 and had build problems).
+1 from me for the release.
Thanks,

Got it now. Minotaur isn't as strong a beast as we thought ;-)

I received mine, apparently minotaur's short day off caused the delay...

What happened to Socialsite? It was still mentioned in January 2010.

Largely, the usual business of the Incubator. One of the larger discussions
involved moving to svnpubsub for the web site. There was some heated
discussion in January regarding handling of a third party copyright notice
in ESME, but it was handled by ASF legal and the project, and resolved.

I hope that the Board is happy with what I've done in this regard. If not,
please clarify the request. :-)

Didn't get that.

Since I used everyone's @apache.org address, the e-mails are caught in the
queue, since people.apache.org is down.
I have sent a report to the Board, at their request, cc'd to priv...@i.a.o.
PMC members can verify their status from that e-mail, as well.

Hi Noel.
I think I'm supposed to be on the list, but I didn't see the note.

Oh, well in that case the mail hasn't been delivered to us
because people.apache.org is currently down ;-).

There was ONE e-mail sent to the ASF mail server, with all of the addresses
from committee-info.txt on the RCPT TO: list.
