Kevan,
I have been spending some time writing code for this project. Its by no
means complete. I guess that would mean I would be donating the code I
have so far, and further development would continue from there.
Is there something different I need to do in this case?

Thanks Leo! That gives us our three binding votes (we received no -1 or 0
votes); I just pushed out the release artifacts to the dist area and updated
the pivot site to point to the 1.2 release.

We have a pretty well documented API for writing plugins and we are
trying to push new features into plugins if possible. Writing plugins
is much easier then working on the core code.
We know some people that have worked on the code base before and are
hoping they will join the effort.
