I didn't find in there anything that can be directly used as an input DEM
raster for gdal_contour.

Hi all,
Is there a website that provides free download for raster elevation model (DEM)
that can be used by the gdal utility gdal_contour? Thanks.

Hi all,
According to http://www.gdal.org/gdaldem.html there is a utility program
gdaldem. But where is the source code? I could not find it in ~/apps in
gdal-1.6.0. Thank you for help.

Hi all,
Just FYI. I have tested OpenEV and Google Earth Pro with two test NITF images
from the NITFS Technical Board. I found that OpenEV can load those two NITF
images properly while GE Pro can load one image but somehow the scale was wrong
and it could not display the other image at all.

Hi all,
I'm sorry that this is the third time I tried to send this message out because
I myself didn't get the first two through gdal-dev@lists.osgeo.org so I thought
others might not get it either.

I can display both in.tif and out.ntf with OpenEV. So both in.tif and out.ntf

Hi all,
When I used gdal_translate to convert a 16-bit QuickBird image to a ECW
JPEG2000 compressed NITF image I got a

Hi all,
I tried to get a copy of ECW SDK but failed. Following the instruction from
http://www.gdal.org/frmt_ecw.html "ECW SDK available at www.ermapper.com" I
ended up with the Erdas website and could not figure out where to get ECW SDK
from Erdas website. Anyone knows what's going on? And ho

Even,
It is getting better: with -co ICORDS=G gdal_translate ran through without
error message. But, the output image does not have the correct coordinates
(nearly zero for lat/lon for all the pixels when displayed by openEV_FW). I
tried -co ICORDS=N instead and still got the same wrong coordi
Hi all,
I have successfully used the Reproject of openEV_FW (FWTools 2.2.8) to
reproject an AST_L1B geo jpg file (ast_geo.jpg with an ast_geo.jpgw file) to a
NITF file. I wonder if there is any gdal-1.6\apps executable that is equivalent
to Reproject of Tools of openEV_FW? I tried gdal_transla
